Here I am, back doing the Legion news again. It has been a while, so let's hope I don't make as many mistakes as I once did.

Cenotaph: If you have driven by the Branch recently you will notice there is a new fence around our cenotaph, it really looks great. The next thing is to plant grass, with tree to follow. Our plan is to have people make a donation for a tree, which would include a plaque in memory of a military loved one. We will also make individual plaques available. Drop by and have a look, you won't be sorry.

Attention all Veterans: The Legion Service Officer is coming to our Branch Oct. 23. The deadline to make an appointment is Oct. 1st. If you have any thing you would like to discuss with him regarding your service entitlements from Veterans Affairs, make an appointment to see him. It is all strictly confidential. He has done many good things for our Veterans. This includes VIP, Pensions adjustments, whatever. Phone Jack at 458- 1966 for an appointment.

Sunday Dinner: Oct. 14th. It will feature Roast Beef, Yorkshire Pudding, mashed potatoes, gravy, veggies, and a special desert. Everyone is welcome. Please phone ahead and let us know you are coming, so we can reserve a place for you. Call 456-7293 or the Legion at 456-2531, during regular hours.

Karaoke: We are planning some Friday night Karaoke's. This will be a fun night with dancing and a draw. Watch for details.

Saturday Meat Draws: Come on out Saturday afternoons and get in on the Meat Draw. Everyone is welcome. We have lots of good cuts of meat, and the tickets are only $2 each. You can't win if you don't enter. Lots of fun, good friends, and comradeship.

Monday night Darts: Regular darts are held Mondays at 7, and usually lasts about 2 hours. Come on out and join in, we need players of all caliber, everyone is welcome, you do not have to be a member, for our regular darts.

Thursday Euchre: Every Thursday afternoon, starting at 1, we have Regular and Bid Euchre. Followed by snacks. Everyone is welcome.

Branch Hours: are 2-7 Friday and Saturday, and 1-5 Sunday. New members are especially welcome, so come on in and get your application form the next time you are in the neighborhood.

Hall rentals? Think of us the next time you are planning a party, our newly renovated hall is large enough for 70 people, or two rooms for over a 100.
