Town hires new legal muscle

Innisfil is getting some new legal muscle.

Town councillors passed a recommendation to hire several legal firms, for general issues, environmental matters, human resources and labour relations, during a meeting last week.

Cassel Brock and Blackwell LLP and Loopstra Nixon LLP will be hired for general services.

Willms and Shier Environmental Lawyers LLP will help provide counsel for occasional specialized matters, while Dunsmore Law PC has been hired for human resource and labour relations services.

Hicks Morley Hamilton Stewart Storie LLP and Stringer Brisbin Humphrey Management Lawyers LLP will provide occasional human resource and labour relations counsel.

The appointments will be reviewed by the town in 2013.
