Winterhawks off to solid start The Innisfil Winterhawks Minor Peewee A team started their 2007 hockey season off with a home game against the Barrie Colts on Tuesday September 18, with the outcome of the game ending in a 2-2 tie. Innisfil's goals were scored by Jake Hall and Landon Brett. Assists went to Aaron Shedlosky, Ryan Shaw and Spencer Karn. Mason Payne stood tall between the pipes to keep the game in a tie. Great start Hawks. Saturday September 22 - Innisfil Winterhawks 5, Richmond Hill 4. Innisfil defeated Richmond Hill in an exciting regular season game. Innisfil's goals were scored by Ryan Shaw with a pair, Jesse Tsikaris, Aaron Shedlosky, and Stuart Manson. Assisting on the goals were Spencer Karn (2), Stuart Manson, Zach Morgan, and Darren Macklin. Goal tender Ron Laird was amazing in net to bring home the win for Innisfil. Innisfil's defensemen Devon Derry, Robbie Couch and George Philp played hard on the blue line. Tuesday September 25 - Innisfil Winterhawks1, NobleKing 2. Innisfil played hard through three periods with their only goal scored by Ryan Shaw and assisted by Aaron Shedlosky and Landon Brett. Strong skating by Robbie Couch, Douglas Ferguson and Adam Spragg kept the game close. Net minder Mason Payne was terrific for Innisfil, keeping the game exciting. Friday September 28 - Innisfil Winterhawks 7, Stouffville Clippers 4. Innisfil came out strong scoring three quick goals in the first period. Innisfil's goals scored by Aaron Shedlosky, Ryan Shaw, Robbie Couch, Stuart Manson (2), Jesse Tsikaris and Jake Hall. Assisting on the goals were Landon Brett, Devon Derry, Darren Macklin, Zach Morgan (2), and Stuart Manson. Ron Laird stopped a ton of shot in net to secure the win for Innisfil. GO HAWKS GO! Saturday September 29 - Innisfil Winterhawks 4, Markham 2. Innisfil was flying high after a great win the night before and came to play. Goals scored by Jesse Tsikaris, Ryan Shaw (2), and Jake Hall. |
