Latest crashes too much to handle I continue to find any and all impaired driving crashes very disturbing! When are all communities everywhere going to stand up and take notice of this daily destruction on our roadways and do something about it? The situation on Dunlop Street in Barrie could have been much worse; no two crashes are the same. Who saw these two drivers off at the door or at the establishment where they may have been drinking? Everyone holds moral responsibility to some degree for these crashes if they have not in one way or another stopped them from driving. If they left these places with a loaded gun you wouldn't think twice about calling 911. Do you really think two tons of metal ripping into a person or another vehicle is any less deadly? For the sake of mankind call 911. You don't want to be a rat but I can't imagine you'd rather find out the person killed themselves or some innocent person after they left your company. Going to the morgue to identify a loved one is not a walk in the park; neither is going to court with your loved one, losing your life savings and watching as they go off to jail because of their selfish actions. Alcohol and substance abuse is a serious problem in our society and it needs to be addressed! It's not as if MADD is not alive and active in your community. We are reaching out to your young, we continue to educate but still there seems to be a mindset that it "won't happen to me". News flash … it can and does happen to people just like you. They aren't accidents either, they aren't a chance happening or a mishap. Let's start calling them what they are, crashes, incidents, impaired driving is no accident.
