Give Peace Week photo contest a chance

Celebrate peace week with a smile for the camera.

The Simcoe/Muskoka YMCA is hosting the first annual Peace Week photo contest for all local residents.

Photos should be based on the theme "The power of peace, the power of people." Entries must include a short written statement explaining how that image is representative of the theme. Images will be judged by the YMCA's international committee based on creativity, relation to theme and visual appeal.

All photographs will be displayed at various YMCA health, fitness and recreation centres during Peace Week, Nov. 17 to 24. Copies of the top 10 photos will also be posted on their website.

Participants may submit up to two entries, and can be delivered by hand, e-mail or regular mail service. The contest deadline is Nov. 2.
