Take some time to remember Canadian war veterans Sunday
CHURCHILL NEWS
by Linda Gerow

A Day for Remembrance: Every year on Nov. 11, Canadians pause in a silent moment of remembrance for the men and women who have served, and continue to serve our country during times of war, conflict and peace.

We honour those who fought for Canada in the First World War (1914- 1918), the Second World War (1939-1945), and the Korean War (1950-1953), as well as those who have served since then.

More than 1.5 million Canadians have served our country in this way, and more than 100,000 have died, according to Veterans Affairs Canada.

They gave their lives and their futures so that we may live in peace. Buy a poppy and show your support to all our veterans.

Smile: I feel like my body has gotten totally out of shape, so I got my doctor's permission to join a fitness club and start exercising. I decided to take an aerobics class for seniors. I bent, twisted, gyrated, jumped up and down, and perspired for an hour. But, by the time I got my leotards on, the class was over.
