Santa Claus parade being planned

Santa Claus is planning to come to town.

A town committee passed a recommendation to allow the municipality to host a Santa Claus parade Dec. 16, beginning at 1:30 p.m. If approved by council, the parade will start at the Jans Boulevard and Innisfil Beach Road intersection. It would end at Innisfil Beach Park.

As part of the plan, the town will notify police and fire services of the event, and waive the necessary permit fees.
