CHURCHILL NEWS
Curling, church and upcoming movies
by Linda Gerow

The countdown is on until Christmas. Many of my friends have either started, or have finished, their holiday shopping. I on the other hand, haven't started!

Every year I promise myself that I will get it done by the end the November and every year I never seem to get to it.

There is something rather nice about waiting closer to the big day. I don't mind crowds and I like the hustle and bustle of shoppers in the malls.

However, I usually have to brave it all alone as none of my family enjoy it the way I do. How many days...as of November 14th, we have 40 more days. Happy shopping!

Smile: The old man had died. A wonderful funeral was in progress and the country preacher talked at length of the good traits of the deceased, what an honest man he was and what a loving husband and kind father he was. Finally, the widow leaned over and whispered to one of her children, "go up there and take a look in the coffin and see if that's your pa."
