NVCA meetings planned

The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority will host several events in the upcoming weeks.

A protecting species at risk seminar, will take place Tuesday November 27. Learn about the species at risk in your town, including the Jefferson salamander, the spotted turtle and the butternut tree. NVCA ecologist David Featherstone will discuss unique species close to home, and the Peregrine Foundation will do a live falcon presentation. This is a free event, which will run from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Mono Community Centre. Complimentary refreshments will be available.

Eco-build night will take place Tuesday December 4.

Join the Headwaters Flyfishers and learn to tie flies or build a bird box to encourage nesting song birds. The event is free and will run from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Tiffin Centre in Utopia. Complimentary refreshments will be served.
