Barrie honoured with museum street name

In honour of the City of Barrie's ongoing support of the Simcoe County Museum and in recognition of the importance of the city within the County of Simcoe, museum staff will express their appreciation with a permanent display. Due to the new expansion, the museum is renovating and updating all displays in the main building and the streetscape seemed the most appropriate way to thank Barrie. The newly renovated Streetscape, renamed Barrie's Main Street, depicts stores that existed in downtown Barrie between 1890 and 1910.

On Tuesday, November 27, the streetscape will officially be opened.
