Group braves cold and snow to see photos The November meeting of the Tec We Gwill W.I. was held on Nov. 26. It was a stormy night with only seven members turning out. Five members from Tottenham and Beeton braved the storm and brought with them Douglas Pitkin and the owner from Maverick Studios in Beeton. After a dessert lunch, Tottenham W.I. presented a most interesting program relating to the Tweedsmuir History, with Pitkin showing slides from his collection of the old photographs of Alfred Banting, Kate Aitken, the Beeton Fair and from the New Tecumseth area. Many thanks to Tottenham W.I., for coming on such a stormy evening. A short business meeting followed, those present keeping an anxious eye on the weather. |
