Innisfil Santa Claus Parade rescheduled Sunday's winter storm forced the postponement of Innisfil's annual Santa Claus Parade. The parade has been rescheduled for Saturday, along Innisfil Beach Road, starting at 1:30 p.m. Over 50 groups are expected to participate in the parade, which will begin at the Jans Boulevard intersection and end at Innisfil Beach Park. The parade is expected to last about 1.5 hours. "Unfortunately, we just couldn't have it (Sunday), it was just too much (poor weather)," said Innisfil deputy mayor Gord Wauchope. Wauchope says several groups that were scheduled to participate understood why the parade was delayed. "I've got a lot of phone calls from people saying they realized it had to change," he said. "We'll see (how many people show up) next Saturday. Hopefully, it'll be a little nicer day." |
