Youths arrested after Bradford park brawl Two youths were charged after a brawl at a Bradford park last week. South Simcoe Police believe an ongoing verbal dispute between two groups lead to an altercation at the Lions Park Dec. 11. The two groups had arranged to meet to settle their differences. One set of the particiants also brought along a large group of onlookers for support, and the incident got out of hand. Some of the participants brought weapons like hockey sticks and bats to the fight. Three people suffered injuries that required medical attention. Police believe the incident was prearranged, and that no acts of random violence occurred. Two Bradford 15-yearolds were each charged with weapons dangerous, assault and assault with a weapon. The teens were released and will appear in a Barrie youth court on Jan. 29. The investigation is ongoing. |
