Stroud pharmacy robbed Domestic dispute leads to arrest On Sunday December 16 South Simcoe Police were called to an Innisfil address for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, officers discovered that a man had assaulted his wife and had ripped the phone from the wall. A 51-year-old Innisfil man was arrested and charged with assault and mischief. He was released from custody with conditions. Blue Honda stolen Police are investigating the theft of a blue 2005 Honda CRV from an Innisfil business at approximately 8:30 p.m. on Saturday December 15. The vehicle, which has a burned out driver's side front head light, was left running outside of a store while the driver went inside. When he returned moments later, the vehicle was gone. Yonge Street pharmacy robbed On Wednesday December 12, a man entered a pharmacy on Yonge Street in Innisfil and demanded all of the narcotics in the store. The suspect was brandishing a black handgun. The suspect obtained a quantity of narcotics, and left the store walking southbound on Yonge. The suspect is described as a white man, 30 to 40 years old, six feet tall, 180 to 200 pounds, wearing a black balaclava, sunglasses, mid-length tan jacket, beige pants, and large black boots. The suspect was observed getting into a dark coloured mid-sized vehicle. The investigation is continuing. Marijuana found in apartment Police received information of suspicious activity at an apartment residence in Bradford West Gwillimbury. As a result of further investigation, police have charged an 18-year-old Bradford man with possession of a controlled substance (Marijuana), possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, and breach of undertaking. Police have also charged an 18-year-old Mississauga man with possession of a controlled substance (Marijuana) and breach of undertaking. Both men were held in custody pending a bail hearing. Impaired driver caught On Thursday December 13, police attended a motor vehicle collision for a car into the ditch on the 25th Sideroad. An investigation resulted in the 43-year-old driver being arrested for impaired driving. The accused was taken to the police station were he registered readings of 180 milligrams. The accused Toronto man was charged with impaired driving and drive over 80 mgs. The accused was released on a promise to appear. Collision caused by improper turn On Thursday December 13, police attended a three vehicle motor vehicle collision with minor injuries in Bradford at the intersection of Holland Toronto streets. An investigation resulted in a 41-year-old Bradford woman being charged with left turn not in safety. Pellet gun carrier caught On Tuesday December 11, police received information of a suspicious male possibly carrying a handgun at an apartment on Holland Street West in Bradford. Police took up observations for the man, who was located walking on Holland. The man was found to be in possession of a pellet gun resembling a firearm, which was tucked in his waistband and hidden from sight. Police have charged a 23- year-old Bradford man with carry concealed weapon and weapons dangerous. The man has been released from custody with conditions, and has a court date in February. |
