A 36-year-old man was arrested after allegedly threatening to bomb a Bradford courthouse last week.

South Simcoe Police charged the Bradford man with false messages and attempt to obstruct justice.

Holland Street East between Barrie and Colborne streets was closed while the York Region police canine unit investigated the incident last week.

The unit attended the scene, but failed to locate a bomb.

The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Barrie Dec. 15.
