Thank you for your continued support of The Scope. It's been a successful year around here, our circulation now reaches over 38,000 people from Alcona to Essa Township each week. Last month, our website had over 87,000 visitors.

You, the readers, are responsible for helping this newspaper grow, and motivating our staff and freelance columnists to produce the best possible product each week.

It's been a year of change, with Michelle Minnoch leaving the newspaper for a fresh start out west, and long-time writer Susan Stein retiring. Both have contributed greatly to the newspaper over the years, and will be missed dearly by Scope staff and the entire community. But they left a great foundation to build upon, something we will be capitalizing on in the new year.

Early next year, we will be relaunching the newspaper, giving it a brand new look. We will be reorganizing pages and adding a new lifestyle section to the newspaper, to make our product accessible and easier to read.

Our philosophy at The Scope requires us to produce a well written, dedicated, fair and honest newspaper, not just for one community within Innisfil, but for the entire town. I am sincerely committed to ensuring that our readers in Gilford, Lefroy, Cookstown, Churchill, Alcona, Stroud, Thornton and the rest of Essa are served through accurate features, profiles, government and event coverage.
