Tea and guided tours at the Simcoe County Museum

The Simcoe County Museum is offering guided tours, Victorian tea and activities for our visitors over the holiday season. These activities will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Dec. 27 and 28 and Jan. 2 to 4.

Join us for a guided tour of our indoor galleries followed by Victorian-style tea, complete with delicious cookies. Space is limited to 25 visitors per tour so please reserve your spot on the Victorian Tea and Tour list when you arrive. Tours will be offered at 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. during our activity days.

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the kids corner will be open and will be filled with activities and games for children of all ages. Make a pioneer yarn doll or challenge your friends to test their fur trading skills in our Trials and Trails board game. Snowshoes will also be available at the kids corner area, so that visitors may experience a winter wonderland on a self guided trek through the Museum grounds (weather permitting).

These activities are all included with the cost of regular museum admission: Adult $4, student/senior $3.50, child $2.50, preschoolers are free. The Simcoe County Museum is located at 1151 Highway 26 West, minutes north of Barrie. For more information, please phone 728-3721.
