Report All Drunk Drivers (RAID)

This holiday season, police ask that members of the public report drunk drivers by dialing *OPP (677) on their cell phones.

The more of the following information you can provide, the better the chances of the police catching up with the offender. They need the location of the vehicle, its make, model and colour, its licence number, its direction of travel and if possible a description of the driver.

The driver may be impaired if the vehicle is: • Moving unreasonably fast, slow or at inconsistent speeds; • Tailgating or changing lanes frequently; • Making exceptionally wide turns; • Changing lanes or passing without enough clearance; • Approaching signals too slowly or leaving intersections too soon; • Overshooting stop signs or traffic lights or stopping well before them; • Ignoring signs and signals; • Being operated after dark without headlights on, or failing to lower its high beams; • Moving with its windows open in cold or inclement weather; or • Moving with a turn signal still on.
