Alleged drunk driver stopped on Bradford road recently

South Simcoe Police have charged a 36-year-old Bradford man with driving over 80 milligrams after he was stopped on Simcoe Road in Bradford last Monday evening.

The investigating officer detected alcohol on the man's breath and demanded that he provide a sample of his breath into a roadside screening device. The man complied with the request and registered a fail.

He was arrested and transported to the North Division station for an Intoxilyzer test which revealed that he was almost the double the legal limit.

His driver's licence was suspended for 90 days and he will be appearing in a Bradford court on Jan. 24.
