York cop catches impaired driver in South Simcoe
      South Simcoe Police are crediting the quick actions of an off-duty York Regional Police officer with helping them apprehend an impaired driver Friday night. Police report that the offduty officer observed a vehicle being driven in an erratic manner on Dissette Street at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Kayakers rescued by South Simcoe Marine Unit
      On Saturday May 17th at approximately 3:45 p.m., police were called to Lake Simcoe near the 13th Line of Innisfil after two kayakers had drifted out into rough water and were unable to make their way back to shore safely.

      Dodge stolen from Bradford parking garage South Simcoe Police are asking for public assistance in locating a sport utility vehicle which was stolen from an underground parking garage at 70 Drury Street in Bradford. The vehicle, a 2000 black Dodge Durango, had Ontario licence plate AZFB 576 attached to it.

Woman struck by impaired driver
      On Saturday May 18th at about 2 a.m., South Simcoe Police responded to a pedestrian and motor vehicle collision on Centre Street in Bradford West Gwillimbury. An investigation revealed that a woman was struck by a Ford Taurus which was backing up on Centre.

Crime Stoppers golf tournament planned for June 20
      Crime Stoppers is organizing their 12th annual golf tournament. Currently, the organization is asking for the assistance of the public, and sponsorship from businesses to make this year's tournament a success. All proceeds from this fundraising event support our program and our work on reducing crime in our community.
