Stopping sporadic whistling was easy
      After reading the many letters in all of the local newspapers over the past few months and also hearing that the town of Barrie had approved spending $10,000 to study the feasibility of a no whistle zone in the south east end, I felt compelled to act rather than continuing discussions with my neighbours that someone should do something.

Big Cedar project is long overdue
      In regards to the Town of Innisfil's move to start a servicing initiative in the Big Cedar area, I would like to applaud the town for recognizing the need to service areas along the lake. This committed project is long over due.

A cell phone ban for cops
      I find it interesting that Ontario police are pushing for a ban on using hand held cell phone devices and other electronics while driving. Would this apply to them too? Will they no longer be allowed to type in licence plate numbers and make calls while driving their cruisers?
