Drug bust sends five people to jail
      Members of the South Simcoe Police Service and the Drug Enforcement Section of the Ontario Provincial Police, in a coordinated effort to rid the community and region of illicit narcotics, completed a lengthy investigation that resulted in the execution of a search warrant at an Innisfil residence on County Road 89 June 19.

Police investigating a series of break-ins
      South Simcoe Police are currently investigating a series of break and enters that occurred in the Bradford and Bond Head area last Wednesday. On June 18, police responded to four separate reports of break-ins to gas stations and a car wash.

      Keswick man charged with impaired driving On June 22, a citizen reported a vehicle travelling southbound on the 10th Sideroad in Bradford, which was travelling all over the roadway. South Simcoe Police stopped the vehicle and arrested a 37-year-old Keswick man for impaired driving. The driver was released with an August court date.

Passenger flees after vehicle crash
      On Saturday June 21, South Simcoe Police responded to a single motor vehicle personal injury collision on the 5th Sideroad in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. A maroon coloured Buick was travelling northbound on the road when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to roll over into a ditch.

Hydro pole damaged in vehicle crash
      South Simcoe Police officers were called to a motor vehicle collision at the 10th Line and 5th Sideroad in Innisfil last Wednesday. The road was closed for several hours as police investigated the incident. Injuries were not serious, but a hydro pole was damaged and needed to be replaced.

Man charged after domestic dispute
      On Friday June 6th, South Simcoe Police officers responded to a 911 call for a domestic dispute in Innisfil. An investigation resulted in a 57-year-old Innisfil man being charged with assault causing bodily harm.

Public board staff honoured with community service awards
      A Nantyr Shores Secondary School educational assistant is among four Simcoe County District School Board staff members that have been honoured by the Public Awareness Committee of Simcoe Community Services with Inclusion Excellence Awards.
