There's a new chief in town
      Rachael Gallant has no experience in law enforcement. But Friday, she donned a police hat and collared shirt, and could be seen riding in a South Simcoe Police car and boat. Gallant, a Grade 5 student at Killarney Beach Public School, earned her way into each vehicle, by winning the police service's annual Chief for a Day contest.

      By Rachael Gallant Killarney Beach Public School I certainly think it would be a good opportunity to become the police chief for a day because I would learn a lot of important things I did not know. The things I did that day would help me make good choices for myself and set goals for the future.
