E-waste being accepted soon

There are two upcoming opportunities to dispose of e-waste in the area.

Home Hardware will host the events, which will take place at their Tottenham and Cookstown stores. The Tottenham event will run July 12, while Cookstown will host July 19. Both events, which are sponsored by Thriftopia.com, run from 12 to 5 p.m. Avariety of electronic equipment will be collected for recycling during the event, including computers, printers, scanners, fax machines, cell phones, telephones, MP3 players, iPods, stereos, cable boxes, wires and power tools.

Televisions and computer monitors will not be collected during the event. However, residents are invited to drop-off those items during regular business hours.
