Cyclist injured in pick-up truck collision

On Thursday September 25, South Simcoe Police officers attended a personal injury collision in the area of Simcoe Road and Walker Avenue in Bradford West Gwillimbury.

A pick-up truck travelling southbound on Simcoe was turning left onto Walker, when the vehicle struck a cyclist. The cyclist was riding northbound on Simcoe.

The 25-year-old cyclist was transported by ambulance to Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket. He received serious injuries to his leg and pelvic region. The cyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision. The incident remains under investigation.
