Manufacturing forum in Bradford Thursday

The Bradford West Gwillimbury Office of Economic Development and Nottawasaga Futures are coordinating a South Simcoe Manufacturing and Exporting Forum on Thursday November 27th, from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Scheduled speakers at this event include:

• Jayson Myers, President - Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters (CME)

• David Aldersey, Senior Business Advisor - Ministry of Small Business and Consumer Affairs

• Debbie Walker, Director, Community Export Development, International Trade branch, Ministry of International Trade and Investment

• Rod Graham - Innovation Synergy Centre

The impetus for coordinating this event is due to the current market conditions and increasing challenges facing many Ontario manufacturers and exporters. The goal is to provide information on the current state of affairs, a projection into the future as well as background on programs/services that may assist companies involved with manufacturing and exporting. The day will begin with an economic snapshot and projection on future industry trends that will be undertaken from Myers.

A synopsis of federal, provincial, regional and local programs offered by various government agencies and private organizations will then be offered. The much valued question and answer sessions will be available at the end of each presentation. Information will be available to take home for future reference and utilization. This event promises to be of great value to those involved in the sector and is another example of how South Simcoe continues to support their businesses through dynamic, interactive events.

To register, contact Lynn Chamilliard at 435-1540 or 1-800-509-7554 by Nov. 20.
