County keeps bulky item pick-up, for now
      Simcoe County will allow member municipalities to offer bulky pick-up of large items in 2009. A proposal to eliminate the pick-up was defeated at county council last week. Instead, the county will look at a gradual phase-out of the program over the coming years.

      The Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation and the Ontario Public School Boards' Association have reached today a fouryear provincial labour framework agreement. Talks resumed on Nov. 17th, facilitated by the government.
