The importance of protecting heritage
      I'm writing in response to Innisfil councillor Rod Boynton's recent letter to the editor, where he comments "I believe in heritage and preserving it for our children to see. Government should avoid regulation of private property.

County spending on addition unnecessary
      Just what kind of a palace are these guys planning to build for themselves? Let's do a little math to see what $40 million will build. To build an upscale house of around 2,200 square feet, it costs around $300,000 including the land, services, garage, and of course a basement. For $40 million, you could build over 133 such houses, which would give you nearly 300,000 sq.

Rec complex construction took too long
      I continue to shake my head with disbelief; why did it take so long for the Innisfil Recreation Complex to be finished? Really, mayor Brian Jackson, why does it take so long to build a rec centre? I have read how proud everyone is that it's weeks away from opening. The truth is its still a dirty construction site and is over a year late.
