GO train station should stay on 5th Line, says resident
      Lefroy should be the site of a GO Transit train station, because it would help revitalize the area and save taxpayers money, according to a local resident. Over the last few weeks, debate about the potential relocation of a proposed GO station from the 5th Line to the 6th has forced several concerned residents to express their opposition to the move.

Cell tower raises concern on council
      A cellular phone tower is causing a disturbance for residents living along Big Bay Point Road. So Innisfil council will be sending a letter to Industry Canada and Telus Mobility, stressing concern over the structure and hosting a public meeting on the issue. Already half built, the 36-metre tri-pole tower sits near the City of Barrie boundary.

      In an effort to increase funds available for patient care, Royal Victoria Hospital is raising its visitor parking rate by $1. Staff and physicians will continue to pay a monthly parking fee, however parking for the RVH volunteers will remain complementary.

DC public meeting tonight
      A public meeting to review the Town of Innisfil's development charge bylaw will take place Dec. 3. The meeting will take place at the New Town Hall, beginning at 7 p.m. The meeting was originally scheduled for today. However, unanticipated delays in updating the town's development charge background study, and other technical errors, have pushed the meeting date back.
