Museum hosting Victorian tea and guided tours
      The Simcoe County Museum is offering guided tours, Victorian tea and activities for visitors over the holiday season. These activities will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Dec. 29 and 30, and Jan. 2 to 4. Join staff for a guided tour of the indoor galleries, followed by Victorian-style tea, complete with delicious cookies.

Legion gets bazaar again
      The ladies of the legion were hosting their annual Christmas tradition Saturday. For the last 55 years, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion in Belle Ewart have been hosting a Christmas bazaar and craft sale. The sale helps raise money for the auxiliary, and promote the legion within the community, says auxiliary vice president Kenda Prestidge.

Church members selling apple pies
      Apple pies are now for sale at Lefroy United Church. Homemade pies are available for $7. These are made by the people of the church and frozen immediately. There are limited quantities available. Call the church at 456- 2098, or stop by during the week.

      The Gibson Centre's Honda Performance Hall was crawling with all sorts of creatures recently, during the drama program's final presentation of Dr. Seuss' The Lorax, a story about the need to save the environment.

Ornaments raise funds
      Original paintings and fine beadwork have been contributed by over 20 local artists, for a gallery fundraising exhibition at the Gibson Centre in Alliston. A silent auction took place during the opening on Dec. 7, after which all remaining artwork was put on sale for $50.
