French courses being offered

Beginning in Grade 5, the Simcoe County District School Board offers extended French as a second language at specific host schools throughout the county.

Half of each day's instruction takes place in French and the other half is delivered in English. At the secondary school level, the program offers a total of seven credit courses for students.

Board schools invite interested parents and students to attend the following information meetings about extended French programs that are offered to students beginning in Grade 5.

Sessions are planned at Admiral Collingwood Jan. 10, Alliston Union, Fred C. Cook and Prince of Wales Jan. 17, Forest Hill, Goodfellow and Warnica Jan. 16, Mundy's Bay Jan. 9, and Regent Park Jan. 15.

Students can register from Jan. 28 to Feb. 1 at all of those location, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. For more information, visit www.scdsb.on.ca.
