Kuzmich tournament starts soon
Sergeant Bob Eeles
Once again, the Friends of South Simcoe Police are pleased to announce that they will be hosting the Alan Kuzmich Memorial Hockey Tournament at the Lefroy Community Centre at 1354 Killarney Beach Road in Innisfil.

This will run for four days starting March 27.

There will be a limit of 18 adult teams allowed to enter. All teams from last year will be invited to return, as well as any other new hockey teams who wish to play in this fun tournament for a good cause.

The cost per team is $695, with a minimum three game guarantee. A $200 deposit is required. Registration Forms are available at the North Division station, located at 2137 Innisfil Beach Road. Participants can also contact a committee member listed below.

Additional games will be played during the semifinals and championship games, which will be held on Sunday March 30.

There will be three divisions; recreational, gentlemen's and old timers (over 35).

All proceeds earned during this tournament will be donated towards Innisfil Beach Park upgrading and renovations, and the Victims of Crime Fund.

The grand opening ceremonies will be held on March 28 at the Lefroy Community Centre at 7:30 p.m. Shortly afterwards, a charity game between the South Simcoe Police Association and Innisfil Fire and Rescue hockey teams will be played.

We hope you will come out to support the event and cheer on your favorite teams. There will be food and beverages served in the upstairs community room at the rink during the entire event. You can also contact one of the committee executive members, Bill Pring, Gord Wauchope, John Wardrop, Larry Wilkins, Sherry Ayres, Andrea Drover or Rick Young for further information, to make a donation to the silent auction, or sponsor some ice time.
