More ice opening at recreation centre this weekend There will be more ice opening at the Innisfil Recreation Complex this weekend. Town staff have started booking ice time for the small rink at the Innisfil Recreation Complext this weekend, says mayor Brian Jackson. Inspectors finished looking over the small rink at the $29 million complex recently. The ice has been laid, with the hockey lines already drawn, said deputy mayor Gord Wauchope. "The North Rink passed inspection (last) week," he said. "They've got the lines on it and the ice is ready to go." The site's large arena opened in November, after several months in construction delays. Once complete, the complex will also feature an aquatics facility, gymnasium, fitness room, and community space once complete. Construction on the entire complex is expected to be complete by late spring or early summer. |
