Several crashes lead to charges Collision lands man in custody On Jan. 25, around 1:30 p.m. South Simcoe Police responded to a call for a single motor vehicle accident on the 2nd Concession of Innisfil. Upon arrival they arrested a 34-year-old Innisfil man for impaired care or control. He was transported to the north division station where breath tests were conducted. As a result of further investigation the male was charged with impaired care or control, drive with more than 80 milligrams, take auto without consent and drive while prohibited. He was held for a bail hearing. Innisfil man charged after collision On Jan. 25, around 3:15 p.m., police responded to a call for a single motor vehicle accident on County Road 27 in Innisfil. Upon arrival, police arrested a 40- year-old Innisfil man for impaired care or control. He was transported to the north division station where breath tests were conducted. As a result the man was charged with impaired care or control. He was released on a promise to appear. Man charged after domestic incident On Jan. 25, police were called to an Innisfil residence in regards to a domestic incident. Upon arrival, they spoke with persons inside the residence. As a result of this, a 34-year-old Innisfil man was arrested and transported to the north division station. He was charged with two counts of assault, two counts of assault with a weapon and mischief. He was held for a bail hearing. Driver arrested for impaired driving On Jan. 25, police stopped a motor vehicle driving along County Road 4 in the Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury. The driver was arrested for impaired care or control. He was transported to the south division station where breath tests were performed. As a result, a 44-year-old Innisfil man was charged with impaired care or control, dangerous driving and over 80 milligrams. He was held for a bail hearing. Innisfil man gives himself up A 38-year-old Innisfil man attended the north division station advising that he was suppose to be serving a weekend sentence at the Central North Correctional Centre Jan. 26. He was arrested for being unlawfully at large and transported to Central North. Couple should have stayed away from each other On Thursday January 24, South Simcoe Police were called to the intersection of Bingham Street and Centre Street in Bradford for a domestic dispute. Police attended and found a couple arguing outside a taxi cab. An investigation revealed that the man was out on conditions not to communicate with the woman, and she was on conditions not to consume alcohol. Officers determined that the woman had been drinking. Both were arrested and transported to a police station. Additional information came to light that the man had entered the woman's apartment earlier in the morning and had taken her backpack. The 35-year-old Bradford woman was charged with breach of undertaking and held for a bail hearing. The 40-year-old Holland Landing man was charged with breach of undertaking, theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property, and unlawfully in a dwelling house. He was also held for a bail hearing on Jan. 25. Man arrested for assault after knife altercation Police were called to a residence on Barrie Street in Bradford regarding a man with a knife at about 1:30 a.m. on Jan. 23. A 26-year-old Bradford man was arrested for assault and weapons dangerous following police arrival. The accused had pulled a knife on another man with whom he was involved in an altercation. During the course of the investigation a woman with whom the accused was involved in a domestic relationship complained of being assaulted during the morning of Jan. 22. The accused was held for a bail hearing in Barrie on Jan. 23. Stolen vehicle recovered On Jan. 22, a police officer checked a truck parked on Bearsfield Drive in Bradford and found it had been reported stolen in Toronto earlier in the week. Man breaches conditions On Jan. 23, police investigated a 37-year-old Bradford man after entering a licenced establishment in the town. An investigation revealed that the suspect was breaching conditions of a previous release and failing to comply with other conditions. The accused was transported to the police station, were he was held pending a bail hearing on Jan. 24. Mom calls cops on kid On Jan. 23, police investigated a 15-year-old Bradford man after receiving a phone call from his mother. An investigation found the he was breaching his conditions from a previous release and he was responsible for damage to a Bradford apartment elevator the night previous. The accused was transported to the police station and held for a show cause hearing. |
