Police bust cargo trailer theft ring On Jan. 22, the Nottawasaga OPP Street Crime Unit and the Provincial Auto Theft Team executed a search warrant at a home on Brentwood Drive in Angus. As a result, police recovered two revinned (revised vehicle identification numbers) stolen enclosed cargo trailers, a quantity of stolen construction tools and a stolen 1997 pickup truck. Recovered property is in excess of $20,000. Tyler Liscum of Angus, 38, is charged with three counts of possession over $5,000. On Jan. 25th, police executed a search warrant at a farm on Old Barrie Road in Oro Township. As a result of a warrant, a number of items were seized, including two revinned stolen enclosed cargo trailers, a stolen Honda motorcycle, a stolen snowmachine and a quantity of firearms. The total value of this recovered property is in excess of $20,000. Robert Graham, 38, of Oro, is charged with possession over $5,000, two counts of possession under $5,000 and unsafe storage of firearms and ammunition. Further investigation by the Nottawasaga OPP Street Crime Unit, South Simcoe Police Service, Barrie City Police, and the Provincial Auto Theft Team resulted in the recovery of 25 additional revinned stolen trailers throughout southern Ontario worth $125,000.
