Essa needs new clerk

Essa township is looking for a new clerk.

Carol Trainor, the township clerk for the past five years, will be leaving the municipality to become the clerk and director of corporate services of Springwater Township at the beginning of March.

Trainor was Chief Administrative Officer/Treasurer of Asphodel-Norwood Township before she came to Essa.

Trainor's letter of resignation was on last week's township agenda.

Essa has begun advertising for her successor.
