Georgian students earn funds for lake

Georgian College students went hut to hut on Lake Simcoe one recent Saturday morning, looking to raise funds for the watershed.

Lead by Environmental Defence's Campaign Lake Simcoe staff and teachers from Georgian, the students were attempting to raise awareness about the proposed Lake Simcoe Protection Act, which is expected to be debated in the provincial legislature this spring.

The students, from Georgian Students for Environmental Awareness and Research, visited several ice huts settled off the Lefroy and Belle Ewart shoreline.
