Museum plans March Break camp Great Minds think alike this March Break at the Simcoe County Museum. Choose to spend a day or two, or the whole week with staff at their day camp, as they discover the accomplishments of the great masters and scientists and celebrate their incredible achievements throughout history. The camp runs from March 10 to 14. On March 10, they're celebrating the Renaissance, and will design a DaVinci parachute and create snow sculptures. On March 11, staff will discuss the Great Enlightenment. Find your space face, explore the StarLab and discover how the works of Newton and Galileo changed history. On March 12, they'll explore Mind over Matter, by unravelling the mysteries of the human mind and body! It's all green on March 13 as they look at the Earth. Staff will build a solar oven and conquer weather as we make our own mini cyclones. On March 14, staff go back to the drawing board. They'll teach children what it takes to make a great invention, and participate in the Museum Book of Records! Simcoe County Museum March Break day camp is suitable for children ages six to 12. Registration is required, and space is limited. For more information, visit www.museum.simcoe.ca or call 728-3721. |
