Atoms sweep series

Lefroy Atom 3 Decorators Edge and Atom 2 split their last two games of the regular season against each other as they look forward to the playoffs.

Jan. 27 - Lefroy 3 edges out 2 by a score of 4-2. Brandon Twine scored twice, while Josh Holm and Julia Timbers provided the other markers with assists from Hayden Adams- Peacock, Brendan Heenan and Grant Scott.

Feb. 3 - Lefroy 2 takes the second game 6-1. Michael Norris provided the lone goal assisted by Thomas Dunn.

Recently, Lefroy's Atom 3 Decorator's Edge Swept Schomberg in Three games, during the first round of playoff action.

As this series unfolded so did the competitive spirit, as Schomberg did their best to make the last couple of games exciting.

However, much to Schomberg's chagrin, it was Lefroy who proved to be the better team with consistent hard work and determination. Game one in Schomberg was fast with end to end action. Brandon Twine put the first two markers on the board with Grant Scott adding the game-deciding goal. Assists came from Zach Hellings, Hayden Adams-Peacock, Thomas Dunn and Lucas Reimer.

Game two was another fast moving game with a pair of goals from Grant Scott, and the single go ahead marker from Julia Timbers. Assists came from Zach Hellings (2), Hayden Adams-Peacock, Grant Scott and Josh Holm.

Game three proved to be the most exciting, as one goal determined the game. A solid blue line from Mike Norris, Thomas Dunn, Brendan Heenan and Julia Timbers and stellar net minding from Luc Bujold kept Schomberg off the game sheet. Brandon Twine scored the lone marker assisted by Grant Scott.

Good Luck Lefroy in your next series.
