Lefroy Day of Prayer service successful On Friday March 7th, a World Day of Prayer service was held at the United Church in Lefroy, with Uganda as this year's country of topic. Approximately 40 people came to hear the Reverend Peter Kugba-Nyande of Wyevale United Church give a talk on his background and his coming to Canada. Kugba-Nyande gave a presentation concerning the building of an elementary school in his hometown of Sierra Leone, Africa. Several local churches took part in the service with readings and bible scriptures. The choir lent a delightful interlude with some beautiful hymns. Light refreshments and fellowship followed in the parish hall. On Saturday March 15th, the Innisfil Historical Society will meet for Lefroy Day at the Knock School Heritage Site, 7756 10th Sideroad at the 9th Line, beginning at 2 p.m. Some history of the village will be discussed by Luella Brooks, Don Ferrier and anyone else who has information to contribute.
