Spring is the perfect time to buy a home
Everything from the Innisfil beaches, local clubs and sports, along with the exciting growth we've been watching with the Go Transit service to Toronto's Union Station close by. Combined with the new town offices and recreation centre, these things promise to keep our community growing stronger than ever. Alcona is also in the early planning stages of a Marks Work Warehouse, grocery store, and Canadian Tire right at the 20th Sideroad and Innisfil Beach Road. I believe in our community and I believe in building relationships that surpass a sign on your lawn and a deal on my desk. I work with real relationships and real people with real needs. This spring, the market promises to present some great opportunities to move up to your next step, or to grab onto your ultimate goal. I 'm here to help make that happen, I don't try and be an expert on the world, just our little corner of it. I do everything I can to make sure any step you take is in the right direction. Recent history shows that May and June seem to have the highest number of sales in the spring, however it seems this year's slow spring start has definitely affected the March sales; with March 2006 and 2007 sales from the 1st to the 17th being in the 40s. This year, there have been a total number of 17 homes sold in Innisfil in the same timeframe. I imagine the gas prices and the United States dollar being low, combined with their housing market being in a terrible state has affected our sales somewhat. But I believe our biggest reason for the drop is the shear amount of snow we have received in the last few weeks. I was at our Century 21 Canada's award gala on Saturday, and they have reported that overall sales in Canada are still pretty good and they forecast another great year; probably not record breaking but a good year nonetheless. If you are considering a move this spring, rest assured it is coming, so start clearing out the clutter, and shining up the windows and baseboards. If you don't know what to do, where to begin or if the time is right I'd be happy to offer up some suggestions. You can drop me an e-mail or give me a call and I can set up a convenient time to answer some of your more specific questions. There are some fantastic local staging companies who work closely with agents who can come in and tell you exactly what household items should stay, what should hide or go to storage and where how to situate all of your furniture to make your house the most attractive for prospective buyers. Think about what may be right for you. Whether you are looking for change, looking for inspiration or just have questions that sit unanswered, the only bad questions are the one's left unasked. Send me your questions and once a month we'll answer them here, sharing the knowledge can only make our community stronger. If you have a question for me, please send it to weewo@rogers.com. |
