Man jailed after fit, and parking lot punching Man tosses chair in tantrum A 28-year old Bradford man is facing charges of mischief under $5,000 after he became involved in an argument with a friend at a Holland Street West apartment on Saturday evening. The man picked up a dining room chair and threw it into the drywall, causing holes in the wall. He then proceeded to break glass ornaments that were on a shelf and finished his tantrum by breaking a glass cart into pieces. The man fled prior to South Simcoe Police arrival, but he was arrested a couple hours later and charged for the incident. He will be appearing in Bradford court on April 17th to explain his actions to a judge. Alcohol was a factor in the incident. Man breaches probation with alcohol and car keys Police have charged a 61- year-old Innisfil man with two counts of breach of probation after they were called to an Innisfil residence on Sunday. The accused was found to be in possession of car keys and bottles of alcohol, both of which he was not to be in possession resulting from conditions of his probation order. The accused was detained in custody pending a bail hearing on March 17. Man punched in parking lot On Sunday, police attended a plaza in Innisfil regarding an assault. A man approached and threatened another man who was sitting in a vehicle. The victim was then punched twice in the face and the suspect walked away. An unknown woman also tried to pull the victim from the vehicle and she left the area when another occupant got out of it. The victim did not require medical treatment. The suspect is known to the victim. Police are looking for the suspect, a 21-yearold Innisfil man. Road closed by gas leak Innisfil Beach Road between County Road 4 and the 20th Sideroad was closed for several hours last week, due to a gas leak. A gas main was struck by a snow clearing crew. Enbridge Gas was contacted and attended the scene, along with the Innisfil Fire and Rescue Service. Guns and drug seized from Bradford apartment On March 13, South Simcoe's Street Crime Unit, with the assistance of the K- 9 Unit, executed a search warrant on a Bradford residence. A loaded handgun and rifle were seized. A bullet proof vest was located inside the residence as well. A quantity of marijuana, cocaine and cash was seized. A 28-year-old Bradford man has been charged with numerous counts of firearm and drug related offences. He is being held for a bail hearing. Production of Cannabis Marijuana Officers executed a search warrant at a rural Bradford residence on March 13. A search of the residence was conducted by officers with the assistance of police service dog Ronin, who was recently trained in drug detection. As a result, police seized two pounds of harvested marijuana, 30 marijuana plants and 6.5 grams of cocaine. The drugs have an estimated street value of over $35,000. During the search, officers also discovered a handgun, an unregistered rifle and a bullet proof vest. A 27-year-old South River man is facing charges of production of cannabis marijuana, possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking and numerous firearms offences. He was held in custody for a bail hearing in Barrie. |
