Decorator's Edge moves on in playoffs

Spectators of this series witnessed two really good hockey teams battling for a spot in the South Simcoe Finals.

Game one saw both Lefroy teams come out with enthusiasm. Lefroy 1 put on an offensive charge, challenging Lefroy 3 net minder Luc Bujold to make some very timely saves and earn a shutout.

Lefroy 3 found the mesh with goals by Zach Hellings (2) and Grant Scott. Brendan Heenan, Thomas Dunn, Zach Hellings and Grant Scott provided assists. The final score was 3-0 in favour of Lefroy 3.

Game two was an equally exciting game, as both teams continued to shoot it out with end to end action. Grant Scott found the net twice late in the second period, while Brandon Twine added a single. Assists came from Brendan Heenan, Lucas Reimer, Josh Holm and Thomas Dunn. The final score was 3-0 in favour of Lefroy 3.

With pressure on both teams to keep up the intensity, game three was as equally fast paced, with quick skating and a bounty of shots. Sharp shooter Grant Scott managed a hat trick, while Brandon Twine picked up two with Zach Hellings providing the final point. The final score favoured Lefroy 3 6-1.

Decorator's Edge, will now play in the finals.
