Lacrosse registration begins

Innisfil Minor Lacrosse is growing again with the addition of a Jr C team. Mens and Ladies Leagues are being run again after a successful year in 2007.

New this year is a three to six-year-old soft lacrosse program, midget field lacrosse and Junior C.

The soft lacrosse program will require helmets and gloves only, there will be no contact and it will be a $60 registration fee. It is once a week for 12 weeks and allows for an introduction to the sport while getting the little ones involved in a sporting environment.

With the free stick program Innisfil Minor Lacrosse is offering this year this program is a bargain for parents.

The last registration date will be held at Alcona Glen Public School March 25, from 6 to 9 p.m. Innisfil Minor Lacrosse will also host several free clinics March 25.

The three to six-year-old clinic will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. Seven to 10-yearolds will hit the floor from 7 to 8 p.m., and 11 to 14-yearolds will learn from 8 to 9 p.m.

A one time $10 insurance fee is applicable for the free clinics, which will be deducted from registration payment if registering for 2008.

A copy of a birth certificate for new players must also be provided, before they can participate in the clinics.
