The snow is melting and the buzz of people looking for a move is definitely in the air. The number of new listings is increasing daily, and the interest is high. As I told you last month, there is opportunity here in Innisfil, springtime is time for change and the market is beginning to respond.
It seems to me that the radical weather fluctuations experienced during a seasonal change (like winter to spring) have the greatest impact on the market. You see, inherently, the masses tend to walk slowly into change during the seasonal transitions and yet boldly run during the stability of mid-season weather. The affect on the market can be seen, especially now, as spring weather is hopefully, just around the corner. People are waiting for that threshold of predictable weather to arrive and provide them with the stability that will allow decision making to flow much easier into their lives.
I'd say that listing your house is a personal mindset. No house just sells itself, it takes commitment to have the house ready to sell, to keep it ready and to keep it available for showings, sometimes on a few moments notice.
If you are committed to sell, and you portray a positive attitude in every step of the process, that will shine through in your presentation and there is no need to wait for the bulbs to bloom. Making a move is all about control, if you prepare your house for the sale, then you control what the buyers are looking at, and you control their vision. When you find your dream house and you have your house sold, you are sitting with firm money in hand, which keeps that precious control in your court. When you begin the process with a positive attitude and a commitment to change, you maintain control of your emotions. Buying anew or selling your home is typically the largest monetary transaction in your life. Committing yourself and having knowledgeable representation is perhaps the most important step of the entire process.
So what does this mean? If you're thinking about making a move, and the timing is right for you, then let's spring forward. I can honestly say that buyers are impassioned at this time of year and when you present your home to the world with a positive commitment to showcase, your hard work will be appreciated and you will ultimately be properly rewarded.
