Celebrate Earth Month with staff and patrons of the Essa Public Library April is Earth Month. Visit the Essa Public Library for all your environmental information needs. During this month, we are featuring a display of related materials and many useful handouts on such topics as recycling, climate change, gardening tips, coloring sheets for the kids and much more. Remember, Earth Day is April 22, so please help clean-up your little corner of the Earth. Celebrate Earth Day everyday. Check out the new books we expect this Spring in your EPL branch or on our website. We have many great titles by some of your favourite authors and you can reserve your chance to read them. Titles coming include Fearless 14 by Janet Evanovich and Whole Truth by David Baldacci. You can see a complete list of the titles in the library at the circulation desk, or check them out on our website at www.essa.library.on.ca. There's a new consumer protection website for Ontarians. This new website, launched by the provincial government, offers easy access to the information you need to ensure fair treatment in the marketplace. The website, www.ontario.ca/consumerpr otection, features consumer protection initiatives, recalls, consumer links and more. Free preschoolers' programming is being held at the library. Join us for EPL's storytime for three to five-year-olds. We offer two storytime days, Monday and Tuesday in Thornton, and Tuesday and Wednesday in Angus (check our website for dates). Storytime starts at 10 a.m. and no longer requires registration. It features stories, crafts and most of all fun in the library. The Ontario Early Years Centre also offers free Make 'n Take storytimes in both branches. The next session will be held May 7 and 14. |
