Meet the naturalists

Do you love the outdoors? Are you concerned about the environment and local issues? Are you fascinated by nature and interested in learning more about our natural environment?

If so, the York Simcoe Naturalists Club may be the club for you. Formed in 1999, members of the club have a special interest in outdoor recreation, natural history, and a voice on environmental issues and concerns.

The club meets on the second Tuesday of every month at the River Drive Park Community Centre, located at 20 Oak Avenue in Holland Landing, beginning at 7:30 p.m. Guest speakers are invited to each meeting and present on a wide variety of nature related topics.

"Our general meetings are a great way to meet like minded individuals who have similar interests and hobbies," said president Sylvia Bowman. "There is so much knowledge to be shared amongst our club members and from our guest speakers, I learn something new every time we get together."
