South Simcoe Police Man charged with multiple firearms violations On Friday April 25, police attended a residence on MacLean Street in Innisfil regarding a man who was acting irrational. The man had barricaded himself in the garage of the residence. After a short period of time, the man came out of the residence and was apprehended by police. A number of firearms were found in the residence. Police have charged a 53- year-old Innisfil man with careless storage of a firearm (four counts), possess a firearm with no licence (four counts), and possess a firearm with no registration (four counts). The man was held in custody pending a bail hearing. Bradford man charged after uttering threats On Friday April 25, police attended a residence on Imperial Crescent in Bradford West Gwillimbury regarding a domestic dispute. Through an investigation, police learned of three incidents involving threats and assaults against the victim and another family member. Police have charged a 36-year-old Bradford man with utter threats (five counts), assault, and assault with a weapon. The male was held in custody pending a bail hearing. Bradford man charged with assault Police attended a residence on Walker Avenue in Bradford West Gwillimbury after receiving information regarding a possible assault. Police have charged a 38- year-old Bradford man with assault. The man was held in custody for bail. Teen assaulted following bonfire On Sunday April 27, police received a call from a teenager advising she had been assaulted by three other girls. Officers arrived at the Innisfil residence and learned the victim had been assaulted by three youths after attending a bonfire. Charged is a 17-year-old girl with assault. The accused was released on a promise to appear and an undertaking entered into before an officer in charge. The investigation is continuing as the other two girls are still outstanding. |
