May means many things to different people May is Better Sleep Month, National Good Car Care Month, National Photo Month, National Salad Month, National Egg Month, National Barbecue Month, Revise Your Work Schedule Month, Date Your Mate Month, National Hamburger Month and Fungal Infection Awareness Month (I kid you not)! May 14th is also National Dance Like a Chicken Day and people are encouraged to celebrate by performing the famous chicken dance, which is so popular at weddings, although why exactly I still can't figure out. After 40 years in the chicken business, my husband still hadn't mastered this dance. But to the rest of you, have a great time dancing like a chicken on May 14th. And Fred, I expect to see you perform this the next time I see you. Library news: Churchill branch manager, Debra Mann. Phone number is 456- 2671. Congratulations to Zeke and Shelley Myers, and son Curtis, on the birth of their second son and little brother Christian. Everyone is doing fine. Smile: Two robins were sitting on a fence post in front of a freshly plowed field. One robin said to the other "I'm hungry, are you?" "Yes," said the other robin. "Why don't we go in this field and get some worms to eat." They went in the field and started eating. They ate until they were so full they could not even move. The first robin said "I can't move, lets just stay hear and bask in the sun." "OK," said the other robin. In a few minutes both robins fell asleep. Later that day, the farm cat came up and ate both robins. When finished, he remarked "I love Basken Robins."
