Tentative deal reached with secondary school teachers

The Simcoe County District School Board and Ontario Secondary School Teachers' Federation, District 17 have achieved a tentative settlement for a new collective agreement.

The previous collective agreement with the OSSTF expired Aug. 31. Board trustees will vote on the new agreement during a meeting on Jan. 21. SCDSB secondary school teachers will vote on the new agreement on Jan. 22. No details of the settlement will be released until ratification by both parties.

The board employs more than 1,000 secondary teachers.
